2012 Artisan Syrah
from 35.00

Campbell Mattinson writes … “Mount Barker Shiraz/Syrah, co-fermented with Viognier. The Viognier is obvious at first but with air peppercorn and black pepper characters exert as much influence on the fruit, or more. This is a cherry-berried red with a good sight on savouriness. There’s no great sign of oak but it feels polished and svelte. Curls of ultra-fine tannin are both unobtrusive and noteworthy at once. Indeed the tannin profile here elevates the impression of quality significantly. It’s neat as a pin; it has character; it pushes things a bit but all ends well.” 93+ Pts - The Winefront, July 2017
